2 ounces 100% agave Tequila blanco

1/2 ounce Damiana liqueur

1/2 ounce Kalani coconut liqueur

1/2 ounce pineapple juice

Splash of grenadine

Shake everything with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Float the grenadine.


I have to give credit for this drink to Mosaic Restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona. They created the Beach Love Cocktail which uses Rum and two of my favorite liqueurs from Mexico. I could not resist trying the basic recipe with Tequila, my favorite Mexican spirit. Tequila in lieu of Rum, translate Beach Love to Spanish and you've got the Playa Amor. ¡El coctel es muy bueno!
